To the extent that there ever was such a thing as a standard all-steel 4 Sub, the units numbered 4621-4666 were it.  They consisted of two 8-bay open (centre-gangwayed) motor coaches each with an SR standard 8ft 9 in wheelbase motor bogie, one 10-bay open trailer and one 10-compartment trailer.

This Eastleigh Model Rail 4621-series 4 Sub kit gives you all the 4mm scale 3D printed parts you need to build a complete (unpowered) 4-car unit - sides, ends, roofs, interiors, underframes and bogies.

What else you'll need -

• Couplings - 3 pairs of Symoba close couplers, plus your choice of NEM inter-unit couplers if you intend to operate the unit in multiple with other Southern Electric stock.

• Motor bogies.

• Wheels and bearings - the bogies are dimensioned to accommodate '00', 'EM' or 'P4' gauge 14mm disc wheelsets with standard 26mm 'pinpoint' axles and the sideframes have holes to fit brass 'top hat' wheel-bearings.

• 8BA/M2 nuts and bolts.

• Glazing

• Paints and transfers
