Q35 Trailer

£115.00 inc vat

In 1931 the District Railway had ordered 45 new cars of ‘L’ stock, generally similar to the 1928 K stock, to provide capacity for the Upminster extension.  In 1935 the newly-formed London Transport placed further orders for the Hammersmith & City line (‘M’ stock, with electro-pneumatic brakes and automatic air-operated doors) and for the District Line (‘N’ stock).
Conversion of these fleets to ‘Q’ stock trailers commenced in 1938/9 but was soon interrupted by the war and the programme was not completed until the 1950s.
